Έγραψε το υπουργείο Εσωτερικών του Κατάρ για την έκρηξη:
«Σε συνέχεια της προηγούμενης δήλωσης, το περιστατικό προκλήθηκε από τεχνική δυσλειτουργία κατά τη διάρκεια εργασιών σε εργοστάσιο στη Βιομηχανική Πόλη Ρας Λαφάν.
»Αναφέρθηκε αριθμός τραυματισμών, ενώ δεν υπήρξαν διαρροές που να θέτουν σε κίνδυνο τη δημόσια ασφάλεια. Οι αρμόδιες αρχές συνεχίζουν να ανταποκρίνονται στο περιστατικό».
